The office management and project coordinators have been with Zucaro Construction for many years. With extensive degrees in architecture and business management, they are well versed in all areas of construction. They oversee all of the Project Managers, Supervisors, Foremen and office personnel for each project’s developments.

In 1978, Andrew started his own construction business; a self-made entrepreneur, Andy has grown into one of the more established General Contractors of Commercial Construction on Long Island and the New York Metropolitan area. Recent accomplishments of Zucaro Construction: building the Viana Hotel in Westbury, a seven story Hotel that is the first LEED certified Green Hotel on Long Island; Parker Waichman Alonso – Attorneys Corporate Offices; several Zwanger Pesiri Radiology Centers locations; Bentley-Lamborghini of Long Island and Champion Motor Group; King O’Rourke Cadillac; The Four Points Sheraton in Plainview; various Community National Bank locations; Ruth’s Chris Steak House; Hudson & McCoy Restaurant; Millers Ale House; and The Garden City Country Club.

Andy has had several projects throughout Long Island, most notably, the renovation of the historic Westbury Theatre on Post Avenue in Westbury.

Andy has sat on the Board of several organizations throughout the years.  Some of the current, and past organizations include; the US Green Building Council of Long Island, Hope House Ministries, and the Eden II / Genesis Foundation School for Young Adults with Autism, Nassau University Medical Center, Vision of Long Island and Telecare.

Andy is a supporter of many charities and philanthropic organizations. In 2009, was honored as the 2009 Humanitarian of the Year for the Italian Board of Guardians, 2011 Man of the Year for Eden II / Genesis Foundation and Businessman of the Year for the Nassau County Republican Committee.

Andy is a proud supporter of the Eden II/Genesis Programs and many other foundations including the Children’s Brain Tumor Foundation, Holocaust Memorial and Tolerance Center of Long Island, Ascent School for Autism and Autism Speaks, Rainbow Chimes Childhood Education center, Mental Health Association of Nassau County, Hope House, The INN, South Queens Boys and Girls Club, and Hurricane and Tsunami Relief Fund Raisers. Andy is also a member and supporter of the DANTE Foundation.

ELENA ZUCAROOffice Manager

Elena has managed the office of Zucaro Construction for ten years. Having completed a four-year course of study in Business Management, Elena received her Bachelor of Science Degree from Adelphi University. Prior to working with Zucaro Construction, Elena excelled in her seventeen years in Retail Management, working for companies such as Neiman Marcus, A & S Department Stores, and HQ Global Workplaces in NYC.

Elena manages all aspects of the office including: construction documents plans, shop drawings, submittals, transmittals, RFI’s, municipality requirements, insurance, coordination of contracts and proposals, accounting, and office personnel.

Bringing her management skills and experience to the offices of Zucaro Construction, Elena works closely with the clients, sub-contractors, vendors and employees. With the exciting pace of the construction industry, and the fact that each project is unique and different, Elena’s position is both challenging and interesting.

Elena enjoys working closely with her husband, Andrew, to give outstanding service to their clients, working to build their clientele and maintain Zucaro Construction’s reputation for excellence in the construction industry.

WILLIAM SABIAChief Project Manager

As project manager, estimator, and field supervisor for over 25 years at Zucaro Construction, Bill specializes in all aspects of commercial and residential construction. After completing a five-year degree in Architecture from the prestigious New York Institute of Technology, Zucaro Construction was fortunate to have this extremely talented man join the team.

Bill oversees all aspects of construction, including our Construction Managers and Project Superintendents. With his experience and expertise, Bill engages in design analysis, CPM scheduling, value engineering, subcontractor coordination, and buyouts. Regardless of the project’s format of design-build, construction management or owner-contractor agreement, Bill maintains close contact with our clients from start to finish, and beyond.

Bill explores alternative construction options and controls all daily operations on the site. He works with the architects and engineers, qualifying all aspects of work for the various subcontractors of each project. Finally, Bill schedules all inspections and testing, including: Building Department, Board of Health, Fire Marshal and Local Utilities.

With a stellar reputation in the industry on Long Island, we truly feel that Bill is the best in his field. He is dedicated, conscientious, and sets a very high standard for himself, his work, and that of the subcontractors and employees he manages. Bill gives the best and expects nothing less from the project.
